Writer/Editor Alliance for Climate Protection

The Alliance for Climate Protection is seeking an experienced Writer/
Editor for its organization in Washington, D.C. The Writer/Editor is
responsible for writing and editing a wide variety of materials in
support of the Alliance for Climate Protection’s mission and goals.
These include, but are not limited to materials for use externally in
the field and internally: press releases, op-eds, talking points,
speeches, fact sheets, Board and development reports, online content
such blog posts and tweets, and other communications materials as
needed. The successful candidate would work primarily on the
Alliance’s Repower America campaign, a national issue public education
and advocacy campaign. The Writer/Editor must be able to take and
apply constructive criticism; must be highly organized; and must be
able to work easily with staff at many levels.

Qualifications
• Goal-driven and results-oriented individual with a strong commitment
to climate, environmental and/or public interest.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional writing, editing or journalism
experience, post-college, including (but not limited to) work in
political, legislative, nonprofit, journalistic, or government
settings. Experience writing on climate, environmental, and/or
conservation issues strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, well-organized, flexible, creative,
able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
