Tour more than ten local LEED (Leadership in Energy &
Environmental Design) certified green buildings to
learn about effective actions that reduce energy
consumption and climate change emissions; improve the
quality of our air, water, and land; and utilize green
building principles. End at carbon-neutral Green café
for a free lunch. Led by Scott Pomeroy, environmental
programs manager, Downtown DC BID. Presented by
Wholeness for Humanity, U.S. EPA, Downtown DC BID,
Friends of the Earth, DC Department of the
Environment, and Office of Planning.
