Our oceans are becoming trashed – with plastic waste. Anna Cummins and her husband Dr. Marcus Eriksen have spent the last five years deeply immersed in the topic, sailing across 25,000 miles of ocean, building an oceangoing raft from 15,000 plastic bottles, and co-founding The 5 Gyres Institute to research plastic at sea.
