We are seeking individuals who can assist us to establish and participate in working committees on Policy and Membership.
Help to organize and conduct the third annual Solar Energy Focus Conference: Fall 2009, to be held in Gaithersburg, MD on December 3-5
Opportunity to meet with the leaders in the solar industry including: BP Solar, Sun Edison, groSolar, Solarworld and more than 150 companies engaged in the renewable energy industry in the Maryland-DC-Virginia region.
Tasks to Include:
1) Assisting the Executive Director with activities including registration and sponsorship for the annual Solar Energy Focus Conference
2) Creating and establishing an association policy committee and hosting their meetings via conference call and/or in person. Assisting committees in drafting and submitting testimony. Serving as a point of contact to other organizations who wish to support our efforts
3) Assisting the Director and contributing writers to produce the association's quarterly newsletter
4) Assisting the Director in providing new services for membership, including financing and insurance policies for members that are interested.
This internship will provide the candidate with the opportunity to learn about solar energy technologies, meet local renewable energy industry business and government leaders and work to improve the local solar market.
